Your privacy and the confidentiality of your work is important to IPVision. So that you understand how we handle these matters we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. We will protect the confidentiality not only of the information you provide to us, but also the information you obtain using IPVision’s website ipvisioninc.com (“Our Website”).
This Notice applies only to the information collected by IPVision from the users of Our Website. It does not apply to information collected by IPVision in any other way, including offline. Please note that any message, posting or other content that is provided on a publicly accessible area of Our Website (such as a blog or a forum) becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy.
There are links from ipvisioninc.com to other IPVision websites which also have privacy policy statements that apply while you are on those websites.
Our Website contains links to other web sites operated by third parties, including United States and foreign government agencies. IPVision is not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of such third party web sites and this Notice does not apply to those web sites.
Our Website is not set up to collect automatically any personally identifiable information from visitors. We can tell which Internet Service Provider our visitors use, but not the names, addresses or other information about our visitors that would allow us to identify the particular visitors to the IPVision Kiosk. This information is used only for internal purposes by our technical support staff.
Our Website tracks certain information such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to the website and its individual pages. These aggregated statistics are used internally to improve Our Website and for product development and marketing purposes generally. Those aggregated statistics may also be provided to advertisers and other third parties, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
User-Provided Information: Personal information may be collected by IPVision when you send e-mails or other messages to us, and when you participate in various activities on Our Website such as posting messages or subscribing to newsletters or other mailing lists. In a few areas of Our Website we ask you to provide information that will enable us to assist you with customer service or technical support issues, or to follow up with you after your visit, or to otherwise support your customer relationship with IPVision. We also keep records of e-mails and telephone calls (including, at times, recordings of calls) to our customer service center. We do this to make sure the problems and issues you bring to our attention are resolved promptly and correctly.
Cookies Information: When you visit Our Website, we may send one or more cookies – a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer or mobile device (“your device”) that uniquely identifies your browser and the activities of your device on Our Website. We may use cookies to statistically monitor how you are using Our Website to help us improve our offerings. We also may use cookies to target certain advertisements to your browser which may be of interest to you or to determine the popularity of certain content.
Cookies may also be placed on your device by third parties that we use to display or serve advertisements or to collect non-personally identifiable information in order to provide advertising-related services. In the course of serving advertisements, our third-party advertisers may place or recognize unique cookies on your browser.
You can set your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of Our Website may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
“Action tags,” also known as web beacons or gif tags, are a web technology used to help track website usage information, such as how many times a specific page has been viewed. Action tags are invisible to you, and any portion of Our Website, including advertisements, or email sent on our behalf, may contain action tags.
By using cookies and action tags together, we are able to gain valuable information to improve Our Website and measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing campaigns.
Log File Information: When you use Our Website, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
The personal information you provide to us when using Our Website, such as your name, postal or e-mail address or telephone number will be kept confidential and used to support your customer relationship with us, and to notify you of special offers, updated information and new products and services from IPVision, offers from third parties that we think may be of interest to you, or used by IPVision or third parties for the purpose of conducting market research or surveys on behalf of IPVision. Any contractors of IPVision who are given access to your personal information will be required to keep the information confidential and not use it for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for IPVision.
We use your information only for the operation of Our Website and for providing invoices to you. Your personal user information is never used for any purpose other than registration, log-in, billing and order tracking. In addition, except as specifically described in this Notice we do not make your information available to any third parties. For example, we do not provide our customer lists to other businesses or service providers.
IPVision may from time to time use network advertising companies (companies that manage and provide advertising for numerous unrelated companies) to provide advertisements on Our Website. Should IPVision use such companies we may provide them with your log-in name and any demographic information about you that we collect. Those advertising companies may combine that data with non-personally identifiable data collected by the advertising company from your computer solely for the purpose of delivering advertisements on Our Website that are targeted to you.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information about our customer population, so we can make the website more effective.
If you “opt-in,” we may send you electronic newsletters, surveys, announcements, and updates, contact you about Our Website, products, services, information and news that may be of interest to you, and provide you with targeted feedback. If you no longer desire to receive these communications, we will provide you with the option to change your preferences. In addition, if you identify yourself to us by sending us an email with questions or comments, we may use your information (including personally identifiable information) to respond to your questions or comments, and we may file your questions or comments for future reference. We may also use the information collected to send you important service announcements and updates regarding Our Website.
We may disclose information (including personally identifiable information) about you to our Corporate Affiliates. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Corporate Affiliate” means any person or entity which directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with IPVision, whether by ownership or otherwise. Any information relating to you that we provide to our Corporate Affiliates will be treated by those Corporate Affiliates in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Circumstances may arise where we are required to disclose your personal information to third parties for purposes other than to support your customer relationship with IPVision, such as in connection with a corporate divestiture or dissolution where we sell all or a portion of our business or assets (including our associated customer lists containing your personal information), or if disclosure is required by law or is pertinent to judicial or governmental investigations or proceedings. In the event that all or part of IPVision or Our Website is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, you agree that we may transfer or assign the information we have collected from you as part of such merger, acquisition, or other change of control. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors’ rights generally, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used.
